A contract is made on acceptance of the booking by Stanwix Park and is subject to these conditions of booking.

Terms 2007

1. The hire period starts from 4.00 pm on day of arrival (subject to unforeseen delays) and ends 10.00 am on day of departure.Latest arrival time 10.00 p.m The accommodation must be vacated on time and left in a clean and tidy condition. Accommodation not claimed within 24 hours of the booked period will be re-let unless prior notice has been given. You are responsible for any damage done or loss sustained during your stay. Hire fees and short breaks are specified in the brochure. The prices quoted are inclusive of VAT @ 17.5% and are subject to change if the VAT rate changes. Our confirmation and booking acceptance letter is not a VAT Invoice. We reserve the right to correct errors in quoted, advertised or confirmed prices.
2. The person signing the booking form does so on his/her behalf and on behalf of all other persons on the booking form (“the applicant”) as if they were contracting parties. The person signing must be 21 years or over. The management reserve the right to refuse all male/all female bookings.
3. The applicant undertakes not to do on their own part or permit to be done by persons under their control, anything which may in the opinion of the management be or become a nuisance or annoyance which shall in any way interfere with the quiet or general comfort of other guests at the park.
4. Only applicants shall be entitled to occupy the accommodation allocated for their use and any breach of this condition shall entitle Stanwix Park to terminate the booking and to exclude forthwith from the park both unauthorised persons together with the applicant themselves. Upon such termination the applicant and unauthorised persons shall be deemed to be trespassers. The number in any party shall be restricted to the sleeping capacity of the accommodation allocated or the number of persons listed on the booking form.
5. Stanwix Park nor its servants or agents can accept liability for any death or personal injury, loss or damage which may be sustained by the applicant or their property during the period they or any of them are at the holiday park except where it arises from the negligence of the park, its servants or agents.
6. Once a deposit has been paid and a booking confirmed, a contract exists and you will be liable for the whole of the hire charge, even if you are prevented from taking your holiday. A deposit of £50 plus £27.50 per week/short break cancellation insurance should accompany the application and it acts as a booking fee that is non-refundable if a booking is cancelled. If you do not wish to take out holiday cancellation insurance you must indicate this on the booking form or verbally at time of booking (insurance strongly recommended). Cancellation must be notified in writing, the date of cancellation is when notification is received by Stanwix Park.
7. The balance of the hire fee is due 28 clear days before commencement date of the holiday, failure to make such payment will be treated by Stanwix Park as cancellation of the booking. The full balance will be due.
8. In the event of a booking being cancelled (outside the holiday cancellation scheme) Stanwix Park will make every effort to re-let the accommodation but if due to the lateness of the cancellation or for any other reason Stanwix Park is unable to re-let all or part of the period in question, the applicant will be liable to the park for the outstanding balance. Should the reason for cancelling fall within the scope of the holiday cancellation scheme any payments you have made will be reimbursed and you will not be under any obligation to pay the balance of the holiday cost.
9. AMENDMENTS BY YOU – If for any reason whatsoever the applicant wishes to amend their booking there will be an amendment fee of £15 to cover the cost of administration. No amendments can be made to holiday dates/accommodation within 28 days prior to arrival. You may transfer your booking to someone else/another party (introduced by you) at any time providing you pay the administration fee of £20 and any outstanding balance. Holiday insurance will automatically be cancelled and no refund given.
10. NO COMPLAINT will be considered AFTER the visitor has left the park. Any problems should be reported to reception as soon as possible in order that they can be resolved.
11. BANK CHARGES – Any charges passed on to us by the Banks etc, for returned cheques, post dates cheques or for processing foreign currency will be passed on to the applicant at a charge of £10 per transaction. As we incur credit card charges when you book, we will make a charge of 2% when you pay by credit card. We make no charge for payments made by debit cards, e.g. Switch, Delta, Solo etc.
12. AVAILABILITY – The booking is made on the understanding that the holiday home will be placed at your disposal on the date stated. Should this not be possible through events arising totally outside our control or that of the owner, for example fire, theft or damage, and which could force us to cancel your booking we cannot guarantee to provide an alternative holiday home in which case your booking fee will be returned to you in full, but you have no claim against the owner or agent.
13. DOGS. No dogs in Florida, Everglade or Richmond Holiday Caravans. Dogs are charged at £3.00 per day per dog and only allowed when registered at time of booking, (maximum two dogs). They must be kept under strict control at all times and exercised off the park. Dogs not allowed in the shop, leisure centre, swimming pools, clubs or play park.
14. POOL – Applicants and those named on the booking form use the swimming pool entirely at their own risk and should make the necessary arrangements to supervise their own children under the age of 8 and non-swimmers under 14 years of age. No lifeguard’s are on duty. No children under 16 allowed in the steam or sauna room and the Fitness Centre.
15. Licensed Premises. No under 16 year olds allowed in the Sky Bar or Dunes Cabaret Bar 3rd March to 14th November or New Year. The Sunset Inn Club, parents must accompany and are responsible for their children under 16 years of age when on the premises, or be accompanied by a suitable adult at all times.
16. HOLIDAY CENTRE OPENING TIMES. Accommodation – Apartments and Caravan Holiday Homes available all year.
    Leisure Pool Complex and Restaurant open all year.
    The Sky Bar all year. From 5th Nov – 3rd March evenings only.
    DUNES Cabaret Bar, 3rd March – 4th Nov and New Year.
    The Sunset Inn, 5th April – 5th Nov and New Year.
    Entertainment Programme – 9rd March – 4th November.
    Shop 3rd March – 4th November
    Outdoor Swimming Pool – 26th May – 2nd September. (Closed on wet/cold days at Managements discretion.)
    All facilities closed Christmas Day
    The above times are a guide only and it is our intention to open longer if demand warrants it. We reserve the right to make a charge on Special Cabaret Nights and theme weekends.
17. ELECTRICITY. If there is an Electricity Board supply failure to the park there will be no refunds whatsoever. If the park electricity fails, no refunds or compensation will be given unless the electricity is off for more than 24 hours. There will be no refunds on any frozen food or perishable items under any circumstances.
18. FROST. Although preventative measures against water pipes freezing in caravans during the winter months have been taken, occasionally due to severe weather we may experience difficulties and you would have to use the main toilet block on the park.
19. FORCE MAJEURE. We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contract with you is prevented or affected by reason or circumstance, which amount to “Force Majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “Force Majeure” include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your holiday home (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond our control. Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war, threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our or the owners controls.
20. While every care is taken to ensure that the details shown in the brochure are correct Stanwix Park cannot accept responsibility for errors contained therein or as the results thereof. We reserve the right to alter or amend our terms, conditions, facilities and entertainment programmes without notice.

CAMPING/TOURING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Camping Site Open all Year

Camping and touring terms are per pitch/per person, per day from 2.00 pm day of arrival to 11.00 am on day of departure. Advance bookings for weekly or longer periods are recommended to ensure that you acquire a pitch for your holidays. Overnight visitors are accepted at any time subject to pitches being available. All pitches are equipped with electric, water and sewage hook-up at no extra cost (240v 10 Amp).

Pitch size. Each pitch can cater for a caravan with a body length of 7m (excluding the drawbar) and with an awning attached 4.6m wide, this size must not be exceeded when awnings are attached to a caravan and must not exceed the length of the caravan including annexes etc. or tents 7m long 4.6m wide, tents that exceed these sizes will need to book two pitches and will be charged accordingly. Only one car per pitch. Gazebos are not allowed in the space between pitches. We have some pitches that cater for motor homes up to 30ft long but you must notify the office at time of booking. These pitches are not on the main campsite and a short distance to the toilet facilities.

1. Advance booking fees are to be paid in full at time of booking. If however, notice of cancellation is given 14 days before arrival the full fee less £30 per week to cover costs will be returned. No refund will be given on bookings valued under £30. In the event of any amendments whatsoever being made to a booking there will be an administration charge of £15. No amendments can be made to camping holiday dates within 28 days prior to arrival. Bookings are non transferable.
2. Advance bookings are accepted for any period. Bank Holidays, minimum stay 3 nights. All persons to be registered at time of booking.
3. Please make arrangements to arrive between the hours of 2.00 pm and 9.00 pm. Latest arrival time 10.00 p.m. All arrivals must register at reception before siting caravans/tents etc.
4. Pitches not claimed within 24 hours of the booked period will be re-let unless prior notice has been given.
5. The full rules of Stanwix Park Holiday Centre are displayed at the park office and must be observed at all times.
6. Dogs must be registered and paid for at the time of booking and must be kept under control at all times and exercised off the park. Maximum 2 dogs.
7. Weather. If due to adverse weather conditions we reserve the right to move a booking to another pitch if available on Stanwix Park or Hylton Caravan Park without incurring any cost to the company. If we have to cancel a booking a full refund will be given under the above circumstances but no compensation will be given. During wet periods vehicles may have to be parked on the car park.
   
   Winter Months. During the winter months we can experience freezing standpipes to individual hook-ups and if this happens water will be available from the toilet block.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP
SunSet Inn Entertainment Centre.

It is a condition of Stanwix Park Holiday Centre Liquor Licence that all customers (Adults and Children) are members of the SunSet Inn Entertainment Centre. We therefore make it a condition of booking that all persons staying in your accommodation are listed on the booking form. The cost of membership is included.

Licensing Laws

In accordance with UK licensing laws, we can only sell alcohol to persons aged 18 or over. We may require you to show proof of age using an approved form of identification. We accept the following forms of ID: full passport, a new style driving license incorporating a photograph, a Portman Group proof of age card.

Going Smoke Free

None smoking legislation in the work place will be introduced in England during on the 1st July 2007. When this is introduced it means that smoking will not be allowed in public areas, including buildings and facilities on STANWIX PARK and Hylton Park.
