Silloth & The Solway Coast

Silloth
Situated on the Solway Firth, Cumbria’s popular seaside resort, a Victorian town, the views across the Solway of Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland are fantastic. In the other direction we are backed by the Lake District Fells and Mountains and to the east we have Hadrian’s Wall ”.
Silloth has wide tree lined streets inset with granite sets; the promenade is excellent for walking and a green with lots of recreation facilities where various festivals are held during the summer.
For those who prefer a round of golf, Silloth-on-Solway has its own championship 18-hole golf course and it is just a short drive to several other top courses in and around the area. There is also a putting green close to the holiday centre as well as facilities to enjoy bowls, wind-surfing, a launch plus ramp for jet-ski’s & pleasure boats and for the kids Silloth boasts its’ own funfair on the sea-front next to the sandy west beach stretching for 13 miles to Maryport.
